Cryolipolysis Machine Effect Time
To date, more than 8 million CoolSculpting treatments have been performed worldwide. Unlike liposuction, which may require anesthesia and risk of bleeding or serious infection, CoolSculpting is a relatively safe in-office surgery with minimal pain and no downtime.
Each application of Cryolipolysis itself takes 35 minutes, and it may require multiple applications to cover an area. For example, it may be necessary to use four or more times to ensure uniform fat removal from the entire front of the abdomen.
The most common side effects of treatment include redness, bruising, swelling, tingling, numbness or blackening of the treated area. Most of these side effects, if present, will subside within a few months after treatment. Perhaps the most significant but relatively rare side effect of cryolipolysis is increased fat growth at the treatment site. The exact incidence of this side effect is unknown; however, it appears to occur less than 1% of the time.
The results can be seen in as fast as three weeks, and the greatest benefits can be seen in about three months. The average fat loss per round of treatment is about 10% to 25%, and there is no evidence of any systemic side effects. A second round of treatment may be required after a few months, depending on the desired results.
